Full Biography

Dalitso Annabel Kunkhanda, known professionally as Dali-Anna, is a 24-year-old musical artist from Malawi. Born on March 29, 2001, Dali-Anna's love affair with music began at the tender age of 7, when she started writing songs inspired by her idol Hannah Montana and other artists from a collection of records her dad owned and played during her childhood.

I've always been a creative soul, and music has been my constant companion since I was a little girl growing up in Malawi. I believe with my whole heart that I am destined to follow my dreams and make my mark on the world. My journey as an artist began when I was just 7 years old, inspired by the iconic Hannah Montana. Watching Miley Cyrus transform from a normal teenager to a superstar on stage sparked something within me. I wanted to create music that touched people's hearts, just like Hannah's songs did.

As I grew older, my love for music only deepened. My dad's record collection introduced me to the magic of Michael Jackson, and I'd watch his performances over and over, mesmerized by his voice and movement. Dolly Parton's storytelling through songwriting resonated with me, and I even picked up a bit of a twang in my accent when I sang. Other icons like Mariah Carey, Brandy, and Beyoncé also left an indelible mark on my musical style.

Now, at 24, I'm proud to say that I've written over 200 songs, each one a reflection of my experiences, emotions, and passions. Music is more than just a hobby or a career – it's my strength, my therapy, and my purpose. I'm excited to share my story and my music with the world, and I'm just getting started, so don't get it twisted, I have a lot to learn, a lot of room to grow, so all I can ask is for you, yes you reading this, to grow with me on this journey, help me get there.
